Kolber, a native of Pennsylvania, received her master's degree at the University of Miami. Kolber started her career in New York City as a CBS Sports video coordinator. As a video coordinator at WTVJ-TV, Miami, she won a Sports Emmy. Additionally, she was employed by WPLG-TV Miami as well as WPEC-TV West Palm Beach in Florida. The station hired her as an anchor for ESPN2 in 1993. The station stayed with her until ESPN2 until Fox Sports hired her. Then she returned to ESPN hosting in 1999.
